Hi Brody, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started The Portal Search in 2020 with a simple goal: create virtual worlds and experiences that bring people together.
What began with VR grew naturally. Years of building taught us Unity, Blender, game systems, web development and how people actually interact inside digital spaces. That curiosity eventually led us into AI and onchain technology, where we’re exploring digital ownership, tokenization and intelligent agents.
Today, we are just nerdy artists who like to create things that help or lift up. Technology is just our medium. We’re continuing to build virtual experiences while experimenting with how VR, AI and onchain tools can make digital spaces more useful, interactive and alive.
We don’t know exactly what the next version of the internet will look like—and that’s what makes it exciting. We just want to keep learning, creating and building things that positively impact people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We’ve had to rebuild more than once throughout the years, and some of our best work has come out of those difficult seasons. So, definitely not a smooth road—and honestly, we wouldn’t change that.
We’ve built through failed ideas, technical limitations, changing platforms, long nights and plenty of moments where we had to learn something completely new just to keep moving forward.
Our biggest lesson has been adaptability. Technology moves incredibly fast, especially across VR, AI and onchain development. Instead of fighting that change, we’ve learned to embrace it.
Every challenge forced us to become better creators, developers and problem-solvers. We still have a lot to learn, but that’s part of what keeps this fun.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re digital creators specializing in virtual worlds and immersive experiences.
Through The Portal Search, we’ve spent years building in VR using Unity and Blender, creating everything from social spaces and games to interactive community experiences. Along the way, our creative toolkit has expanded into web development, AI, onchain technology and digital ownership.
What we’re most proud of isn’t any single project—it’s our ability to keep learning and evolving without losing the creativity that got us started.
What sets us apart is that we don’t see VR, AI or blockchain as separate industries. They’re simply new tools for artists to create experiences that weren’t possible before.
At the end of the day, we’re still just creators who love building cool things and seeing people enjoy them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
We joke that maybe the algorithm chose us.
Luck has absolutely played a role. We’ve met the right people, found opportunities at unexpected times and watched some random experiments turn into meaningful projects.
But we’ve also spent years building, learning and showing up when nobody was watching. We believe luck works best when you’re prepared for it.
So yes, we’ve been lucky—but we’ve also tried to give luck as many chances as possible to find us.
