Hi Giovanna , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are born with all the gifts… Be fearless. On my journey, I have faced many challenges. I have learned that the size of the challenge doesn’t matter. We have the power to continue on our way, along our path. Sometimes it’s extremely hard, especially if you’re trying to follow your dreams.
When I was growing up, I remember many people telling me that I was an idealist, including my mother. Nevertheless, she gave me the courage to challenge myself in finding my own path.
Today, I’m the CEO of a multi-media entertainment company, Heart of Hollywood Motion Pictures, and now I’m working on a new art exhibition for 2027. Art has been a great part of my life, and I really can’t live without it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, not at all. Especially working in entertainment, you really have to want it and put in all your effort. The greatest test of all is to test yourself and continue learning.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I paint for myself, and it’s wonderful when someone else connects with my artwork and even more profound when they can understand it and feel it.
A long time ago, I had an experience at an art show exhibition where two people showed interest in one of my art pieces and asked me for the price. This was right at the beginning of the exhibition, so no decision had been made yet.
The first person offered to pay in full. I asked, “What do you like about this painting?” He said, “I like the design and the colors, and I think it will look great on my wall.” I thought for a moment and said, “Thank you for sharing.” Since it was still early in the exhibition, I told him we could revisit it at the end I hadn’t promised the painting to anyone yet.
I asked the second person the same question. He reached into his pocket, pulled out his wallet, took out a picture, and said, “I can see the face of my young son, who is now gone.” I understood, and I said, “The painting is yours.” I sold it for less money to him, and I believe that painting will always travel with him, wherever he goes.
My medium is oil paint. I start with a blank canvas. I don’t have plans or sketches. The creation starts right there with nothing, and then suddenly I start seeing lines. I trace those lines, and then I can clearly see an image with all the colors. I don’t stop painting until my body is asking me to rest.
I love colors, and I make my own color mixes. I have a very eclectic music taste, and while I paint, Sometimes I feel like the music travels through my veins. I believe that what sets me apart from others, at this time, is for people to decide and I would like to invite them to my upcoming art exhibition.
