Conversations with Steff Lutz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steff Lutz.

Steff , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Dream Ranch really began with Frank’s vision. He saw the potential in his five-acre property in Corralitos to become a place where people could gather and celebrate some of the most important moments in their lives.

We started hosting parties at the ranch for friends & family before launching the venue, and it offered an early glimpse of how special a celebration there could feel. Frank continued shaping the property into Dream Ranch Weddings & Events, with indoor and outdoor spaces, a covered patio, gardens, gazebos, and a bridal suite. My role has been to help facilitate that vision—from coordinating details and working with vendors to helping couples imagine how they can make the space their own.

What makes Dream Ranch special to us is that couples have room to create a day that feels like them. They can use the spaces in different ways and bring in their own vendors or choose from local vendors we recommend.

We hosted our first wedding on September 26, 2026. It was wonderful to see Frank’s vision become a real celebration, with people making memories at the ranch. We’re just getting started, and we’re excited to welcome more couples and events in 2027.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Bringing Frank’s vision for Dream Ranch to life has taken a lot of hard work, but it comes from how much he loves the property and wants to share its beauty with others.

A lot of the challenges have been the hands-on details—getting the gardens established, preparing the grounds, and figuring out what works best for events. Frank does much of that work himself. There have been plenty of kinks to iron out along the way, but seeing people celebrate here makes every bit of that effort worthwhile.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Dream Ranch is a wedding and event venue on Frank’s five-acre property in Corralitos. Frank is the owner and the visionary behind it. After more than 40 years in real estate, creating this venue is a dream of his. My role is to help bring that dream to life by working with couples, coordinating the details, and helping people see all that’s possible here.

I’ve been in real estate for over eight years, and my background is in marketing and publishing. I’ve also helped local businesses plan large events and manage their public relations, so our experience fits together naturally. Frank brings the vision and an incredible commitment to the property; I help turn those possibilities into celebrations.

We specialize in giving people a beautiful setting they can truly make their own. With an indoor event space, covered patio, gardens, gazebos, and a bridal suite, celebrations can flow between different parts of the ranch. Couples are welcome to bring their own vendors or work with local vendors we recommend. That freedom to create a day that feels personal is what sets Dream Ranch apart.

Frank puts so much care into the ranch, and much of the work—especially in the gardens—he does himself. I hope people feel that personal touch when they visit.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being out at the ranch makes me happy. I love spending time at the property, gardening, watching the sunsets, and simply being there with Frank. It’s such a beautiful place, and sharing those quiet moments reminds me why Dream Ranch means so much to us.
