I’m Ty Armstrong Sr., a 64 year old California Web Developer faced with the life-altering diagnosis of congestive heart failure, chose a path of resilience and creativity. Driven by his passion to make a difference worldwide, he designed a unique, innovative video vlog that offers a dynamic, all-in-one visual browser experience. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Recently, Ty’s journey took another turn as he was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare form of bone cancer. This news has only deepened his commitment to his mission. Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
My name Ty Armstrong Sr. I am a veteran web developer, entrepreneur, and human services professional with more than 30 years of experience helping others and over 25 years of experience building innovative websites and digital platforms.
I was born in San Diego, Ca and raised in Los Angeles, Ca, at the age 15 my family and i relocated to Paso Robles, Ca, where my parents sought a better quality of life on California’s Central Coast. I attended Paso Robles High School, played basketball for several years, and graduated in 1979. I currently reside in San Luis Obispo, Ca for the last 17 years with my lovely wife Judy.
From an early age, i became fascinated by technology and electronics. Some of my early interests included electric train sets, race car sets, and anything powered by electricity. During the early 1980s, as car stereo systems and bass-driven audio became increasingly popular, i began installing custom car stereo systems for family and friends. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a successful side business and fueled my passion for hands-on technology and creative problem-solving.
Professionally, i have dedicated more than three decades to the human services field, working with at-risk teens and adults living with mental disabilities. My career was centered on supporting individuals, promoting independence, and helping people improve their quality of life through compassionate service and advocacy.
Alongside my work in human services, i established myself as an award-winning web developer. Over the past 25 years, i have designed and developed a wide range of websites, with a particular passion for entertainment-focused digital experiences. My vision has always been to create innovative online platforms that educate, entertain, and engage visual learners around the world.
One of my most ambitious goals has been the creation of a global, all-in-one video entertainment and vlog platform called SloppBoxx.Com, designed specifically for visual learners.
