Daily Inspiration: Meet Elaina Chapman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elaina Chapman.

Hi Elaina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has always been centered around two passions: beauty and mental health. I grew up in Corona, California, and attended Arizona State University, where I earned my degree in Psychology with a concentration in Family and Human Development. I began doing makeup in high school and continued throughout college, which eventually led me to pursue my passion for beauty professionally. After graduating, I attended beauty school and became a licensed esthetician.

Today, I’m able to combine both passions through my work in the beauty industry. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, heard, and confident—not just on the outside, but within themselves as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, that would be amazing in a perfect world—but no, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve encountered various obstacles along the way, but honestly, those challenges have helped grow me and my business into what it is today.

One of my biggest struggles in the beginning was building my clientele and figuring out what truly set me apart from other beauty professionals. I had to learn that it wasn’t enough to simply offer great beauty services—I needed to create an experience and a purpose behind my work. That process pushed me to become more intentional about my brand, my clients, and the message I want Lady B Legacy to represent.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed esthetician and makeup artist specializing in skincare, waxing, and makeup artistry, with a strong focus on helping people feel confident in their own skin. What I’m most proud of is creating an experience that goes beyond the service itself. I want my clients to feel comfortable, seen, and cared for.

What sets me apart is the connection between my background in Psychology and my passion for beauty. I understand that beauty and mental health are deeply connected, and I use my work to encourage self-love, confidence, and taking care of yourself from the inside out. Through Lady B Legacy, I’m proud to create a space where beauty, wellness, and authenticity can coexist.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Yes! One of my favorite apps lately has been Todoist. It helps me stay organized by allowing me to plan out my week, set task reminders, and stay accountable to my goals and schedule.

One book that has really impacted me is You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero. It helped me shift my mindset around money, entrepreneurship, and growth. It encouraged me to think bigger about my business, create better systems, and look at opportunities for scaling and expansion. I’m always looking for resources that challenge me to grow both personally and professionally.
