Daily Inspiration: Meet Lindsay Lewis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Lewis.

Hi Lindsay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was 33, at a rock bottom with two kids and a failing marriage. My anxiety had become so chronic that I couldn’t recognize myself anymore. I tried everything… therapy, prayer, Xanax and drinking-I felt hopeless because I knew I was meant for MORE, I knew I was inherently GOOD, but couldn’t see a way back to myself. A friend introduced me to this weird tapping thing and I scoffed at her because it seemed so silly, BUT IN 7 MINUTES IT WORKED. Decades of anxiety fell off of me and onto the floor. My depression lifted and I could FEEL how good life was today instead of it being muddled by old and new fears. BUT, I was a Jesus girl and this energy healing thing isn’t what we were “taught in church”, so I was skeptical while I seeked out answers and education around it. I met psychologists in my training who told me to skip finishing my psyche degree and only pursue tapping, that they saw their clients finally get well once they implemented this simple tool. Eventually I realized why God used this path to help heal me-it was because there was SO much for me to learn about the mind body connection, and women need to participate in their own healing, and need guidance from someone who can hold deep understanding and compassion for them. I became that women. I brought tapping into churches and women who had been stuck for decades finally felt “unstuck”, and accidentally built a full practice off word of mouth, because when women find something that works, they tell their friends. I’ve not just been using tapping for 9 years, but I’ve been sharing the gift, teaching, leading women’s groups, and working with individuals one on one the whole time. It’s a gift that keeps on giving to those who use it, and those their energy touches. My life hit a HORRIBLE roadblock in 2019, and the disputer continued on through 2026. I continued to use my tools which allowed me to stay present with my personal life, and my work-I don’t know where I’d be without this powerful tool-not only does it help kick anxiety, trauma and PTSD to the curb, it regulates the nervous system in real time, drops cortisol on the spot, works with unconscious beliefs and re-files them, allows space to discover one’s authentic self and in turn one gets to live life feeling fully alive, despite life’s challenges, and I HAVE CHALLENGES! But am more free and authentic than ever.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t know many people who have had smooth roads! In fact, I can tell you which years were the most smooth-there were about 4 of them out of my last 26 years, and I’m not being dramatic! I became pregnant at 19 and just learning how to be a wife and mom was wild for someone who never dreamed of having a family, but I did it. I took care of my dying father for a year and a half during covid, moved one week later and we only know NOW, but didn’t know at the time that our son was struggling with drug addiction and mental illness-his choices wreaked havoc on our family and I did what any good mom does, I gave my life to save him. After 23 years of marriage we finally had to release each other due to the pain, and one month later our first grandchild was born, and our son was on the streets. Everything was painful. While trying to build a new life as a single woman for the first time in my life, another grandson was conceived. While life is beautiful, the circumstances were not-no matter what, you’re child is your child-to see them as anything other than perfect, beautiful, smart and joyful, is nearly impossible. I got sick and thought I was going to die, but my tools and strong friends carried me-a healthy tribe is CRUCIAL to our wellbeing when we can’t carry ourselves. I had to let go of my son, but I was gifted a beautiful relationship with his grandson, and the mother-life is always going to be hard, but it’s up to use to know when enough is enough, and to embrace the magic

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Certified Master EFT Tapping Practitioner, life coach, and creator of the Soul Recalibration Journey — a body-led experience for self-aware women who are ready to stop repeating patterns that no longer support her.

EFT stands for “Emotional freedom Techniques” because there are over 45 different techniques used in this work.

Tapping is a body let therapy involves gently touching different pressure points on the body and can provide physical pain relief much like acupuncture, but without the needles, and emotional relief of traditional cognitive talk therapy, but without the talking. Use of specific pressure points and specific thoughts, I like to say that we’re able to find the meeting place of the nervous system and subconscious mind that is running 95% of our daily thoughts, will, emotions and actions, without our permission….

Tapping facilitates the re-wiring of neural pathways toward truth, and away from anxiety, stress, PTSD, pain, limiting beliefs, and so on, by first dropping cortisol on the spot. When cortisol is down, our bodies healing mechanisms are UP. DHEA is up, serotonin, oxytocin, and the list goes on. Tapping is a tool that finally puts us in the driver’s seat of that pester fight or flight that wants to kick in when we’re at the grocery store for no reason and makes us feel like we have to run from a lion.

I specialize in working with women, but count myself lucky when a man wants to do the work-it’s a PERFECT tool for men as they’ve often been told to not show emotion, but men are humans too, their emotions are a strength.

I have a passion for young adult girls because those years were SO challenging for me. These can be some of the most challenging years as young ladies come into adulthood, create a business, learn to support themselves, deal with social pressures, and can discover their true strengths, power and beauty if they have even just one good woman by their side to guide them.

My work is rooted in a simple truth: that knowing *why* you do something doesn’t always stop your body from doing it. Through tapping, spiritual insight, and a deeply intuitive approach, I specialize in helping women release old emotional patterns, reconnect with what they want and need, and trust themselves again. I’m also a Jesus follower, not to be confused with a religious, rigid soul-I help women of faith re-connect with their creator, themselves, and others.

I’m known for making deep work feel light, human, and doable. I don’t believe any woman is broken so my mission isn’t to help her become someone new-or “be fixed”.. My mission is to help her body catch up to the beautiful, powerful, purposeful woman that she already is so that she can live feeling fully alive, and always authentic because she finally knows, likes, and trusts herself.

I’m most proud of walking out what I talk and teach-I do the hard work through impossible times so that I can continue to tell YOU, it’s possible. What sets me apart from others is that I couldn’t judge someone if I tried, I SEE people for who they truly are inside, and I believe it’s okay to be a friend to my clients-the rules I follow are what your body is speaking to us.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
If I’m being honest, I’m not a big “app” or podcast girl and I usually read a book until it changes my life, then stop and tell everyone else to read it without finishing! Guilty! However, I’m a firm believer that social platforms like instagram CAN be used wisely for rest and connection, if we’re following the right accounts. I have ADHD and LOVE the holistic healing world, so love me a piece of good content.

The podcast “Blurry Creatures” changed my life and helped to answer the questions most believers, and non-believers often think, but won’t ask, and my two favorite books of all time, (that I actually finished!) are “Love Warrior” by Brene Brown-that book was SO relatable as a married woman in this world who struggles to do life, judging herself against others, finding herself, re-creating her marriage, and raising kids in a crazy world. It made me laugh until my jaw hurt, and cry so hard parts of me were healed. My other favorite book is “The Noticer”, an absolutely incredible read about a man who just SHOWED up for people who were down, and brought wisdom and joy into their lives.
