Hi Irene, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been a girl’s girl and have genuinely loved making other women feel confident. Conquer Beauty Clinic started from my desire to create a safe, welcoming space for the “happy medium” girls like me. I’ve always felt a little out of place in super upscale salons, but I still love a beautiful, elevated experience. I wanted Conquer to be that perfect in-between, relaxed and comfortable while still feeling luxurious.
What started as that vision grew into something much bigger. Conquer became a space where other women in the beauty industry could run and grow their own businesses too. My goal has always been to create an environment where women feel supported, whether you’re a client walking through our doors to feel beautiful and emotionally uplifted, or a beauty professional building something of your own.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. As a first-generation business owner, one of my biggest obstacles has been learning financial literacy while actively running a business.
There was no blueprint handed to me, so I’ve had to learn about budgeting, overhead, pricing, taxes, profit versus revenue, and making decisions that are best for the longevity of the business, sometimes through trial and error.
I’ve learned that being talented at what you do and being a successful business owner are two completely different skill sets.
Conquer has taught me both, and every challenge has pushed me to become more intentional, financially aware, and confident in the decisions I make as an owner.

Conquer Beauty Clinic is more than just my body contouring business, it has grown into a home for several independently owned beauty businesses.
I specialize in non-invasive body contouring, and I’m incredibly proud to share the space with Skinfully Sweet, specializing in corrective skincare and full-body waxing; Sets by Seaana, offering nails, lashes, education, and lash products; Gen X Beauty and Interstellar Nails, specializing in nail artistry; Sunshine and Brows, offering permanent makeup, brows, lashes, tattoos, and more; and Braids by Trinity, specializing in braiding and protective styles.
What I’m most proud of is that although we all run our own businesses, we’ve created a community under one roof.
Conquer is a place where clients can come as they are, feel beautiful and supported, and where other women in the beauty industry have a space to grow something of their own.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about our community is that it still has that small-town feeling. People genuinely show up for one another, and there’s such a strong culture of supporting local and small businesses. As a business owner, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful word of mouth and community support can be.
If I had to choose something I like least, it would probably be that sometimes our area can feel limited when it comes to new experiences and opportunities. But honestly, I think that’s also what inspires local business owners to get creative and bring something new to the community.
