Exploring Life & Business with Rebekka Tucker of Bekksfit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebekka Tucker.

Rebekka, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started with a lifelong involvement in sports and a genuine passion for understanding the human body. I began playing softball at the age of 8, which taught me discipline, teamwork, and consistency early on. That foundation carried me into junior college basketball, where I experienced a higher level of competition and learned what it truly means to push through structure, adversity, and performance expectations. Today, I’ve also competed the last 8 years as a bodybuilder earning 4 national qualifications, which has deepened my understanding of strength, nutrition, and the mental discipline required to perform at a high level.

Alongside my athletic background, I’ve been strength training for nearly 20 years and have spent the last 11 years coaching and working with clients. Over time, I realized that what I loved most wasn’t just helping someone get stronger or change their physique—it was helping people understand their bodies, move with confidence, and recognize what they’re truly capable of.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of clients and also build health, nutrition, coaching, and education systems within the fitness industry. Those experiences taught me how to lead, educate, create structure, and most importantly, how to meet people where they are. Eventually, I knew I wanted to take everything I had learned through both sport and coaching and build something of my own.

That led me to founding BekksFit LLC. What started as a vision has grown into a business centered around strength, mobility, education, and helping people create sustainable relationships with their bodies. Reaching our second year in business this year has been incredibly meaningful because it represents more than business growth—it represents the people I’ve been able to positively influence along the way.

Today, my goal is to continue building something that has an even greater impact. I want to help create a culture in California where people are proactive about their health, movement, strength, and longevity—not just reactive when something hurts or goes wrong. I’m passionate about bringing people together, educating them, and creating opportunities for them to become stronger, more capable, and more confident in their own bodies.

I’m still building, still learning, and still evolving, but that’s what I love most about this path. I don’t see where I am today as the finish line—I see it as the foundation for what I hope to contribute to my community and to California in the years ahead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, I don’t think I would want it to be.

One of my biggest challenges has been helping people understand that there is another way to approach fitness. The industry has historically placed so much emphasis on aesthetics, body shaming, pushing through pain, and believing that being uncomfortable automatically means you’re getting better. I wanted to challenge that mindset.

I’ve had to teach clients that strength and fitness are about more than how you look. If someone lacks balance, proprioception, or a neurological connection to a part of their body, that deserves attention just as much as building muscle or losing body fat. Learning to listen to your body, move well, and understand why something feels the way it does can completely change the way you approach fitness.

Introducing mobility as a major part of my business was another significant challenge. I believed deeply in the work, but I had to prove that it could be valuable, effective, and sustainable as a business model. Not everyone understood it, and I’ve had clients leave because they didn’t believe in this approach. That was difficult, but it also reinforced that growth sometimes means being willing to stand behind what you believe in, even when everyone doesn’t understand it yet.

I’ve also spent a lot of time encouraging other coaches to continue their education, explore different modalities, and look beyond the traditional approach to training. Changing an industry starts with being willing to challenge your own beliefs first.

And then there has been the most personal challenge of all: getting out of my own way. Learning to trust myself, stop second-guessing my vision, and understand that not every setback means I’m on the wrong path has been a huge part of my journey.

The road hasn’t been smooth, but every obstacle has forced me to become more adaptable, more educated, and more confident in what I’m building. I’ve learned that sometimes the hardest part of creating something different is having the courage to keep going before everyone else understands why it matters.

We’ve been impressed with Bekksfit , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

BekksFit is a movement, mobility, and performance brand based in Orange County, California, focused on helping people move better, feel stronger, and build a healthier relationship with their bodies.

My approach goes beyond traditional personal training. I specialize in mobility, movement quality, strength, and individualized performance, creating sessions around the person rather than putting everyone through the same workout. Every body has a different history, different limitations, and different goals, and I believe the best results come from understanding those differences.

What sets BekksFit apart is the combination of education, individualized attention, and a true focus on how the body moves as a whole. I want clients to understand why their body feels or moves a certain way—not simply be told what exercise to do. Whether someone is an athlete wanting to improve performance, a busy professional wanting to stay strong and mobile, or someone who simply wants to feel better in their everyday life, we meet them where they are and build from there.

I’m most proud of the community and trust we’ve built. BekksFit recently celebrated its second year, and so much of that growth has come from relationships, referrals, and clients believing in the work. To me, that says much more about a brand than simply having a large following.

As we continue to grow throughout Orange County and into the San Diego market, my vision is to create an elevated approach to movement and wellness—one that combines expertise with a personalized, welcoming experience. I want people to know that fitness doesn’t have to be intimidating or one-size-fits-all. It can be intelligent, individualized, and empowering.

Ultimately, I want every person who works with us to leave feeling more capable in their body—and more confident in themselves.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is this: you are your business.

Every fear, every doubt, every success, every failure, and every moment of growth ultimately shows up in the business you’re building. I’ve always mentored coaches to recognize that the people who come into our lives often teach us something about ourselves. Our clients can be mirrors. Sometimes their needs, challenges, or expectations reveal areas where we still have room to grow.

I’ve experienced that same lesson through my business, but amplified tenfold.

I’ve learned that my business cannot grow beyond the level that I’m willing to grow personally. There have been clients who challenged me, situations that forced me to adapt, and seasons where I had to take a hard look at whether I was truly aligned with my purpose. Each one pushed me to become a better coach, leader, and business owner.

The biggest realization has been that growth requires a willingness to reflect, adapt, and shed what no longer serves you. When I push away my purpose, lose faith in what I’m building, or stop listening to what I know I’m meant to do, everything begins to feel stagnant. But when I’m willing to grow, evolve, and step into the next version of myself, the business grows with me.

That has become one of the most important principles behind everything I do: if I want my business to create a bigger impact, I have to be willing to become the person capable of creating that impact.
