Today we’d like to introduce you to Myeshia “MY” Abdul-Hakeem.
Hi Myeshia “MY”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

Who founded the historic and very well known, “Blandon’s Mortuary,” of Idabel, OK. During her childhood, education, entrepreneurship and volunteerism was greatly fostered and passed down through and realized in generations of educators. She is the proud owner of “Homes With MY Realty,” located in Del Mar, CA.
Licensed for 29 years as a Realtor®️ and Broker, she offers many years of wide ranging expertise that bridges her work in real estate, by focusing on “Race, Class and Space” (i.e. where and why people live in certain demographics) with the broader community. In doing so, she has helped countless minority and disenfranchised families achieve homeownership. As a professional volunteer, she also dedicated to serving her community.

Myeshia is deeply committed and passionate about minority homeownership through education and creates equitable systems to foster this goal. Her dedication and life’s mission is to serve her community by inspiring others to reach goals they thought were unobtainable. In the last five years, she has further developed this goal by educating and helping homebuyers purchase homes internationally. When she’s not talking about the latest real estate trends or best out-of-country location to move to, she is fundraising and volunteering.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We have survived two unsuccessful hostile takeovers. Having come out stronger and better prepared. Mind you, this was all while navigating a divorce, homeschooling kids and growing this successful business into an award winning one.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from everyone else is we are a small fish in a big pond, producing numbers that compete with the whales! By staying in direct contact, none of our clients feel lost or neglected. We pride ourselves in making everyone feel as if they are our only clients, while caring for, teaching them and navigating their transaction as if it were our very own. We are most proud for our problem solving expertise, longevity, integrity, hard work and willingness to overcome any obstacles that may present.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
We are “America’s Greatest City!” for a reason! What is there not to love about San Diego? I wish it were larger so more people can move here.
