Hi CHRISTOPHER, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We moved from Los Angeles California to the Central Coast with our three children and our pups. We had bought Grover Station Grill, then COVID hit. We lost our other businesses sadly, focused all our energy into the grill.
With many changes coming to the neighborhood, we decided it was time to evolve into what we hope is a long term great fit for the area. Our family surfs “Goofy” and the name just fit!
New menu, remodel and some great music is helping us build a great place for a cold beverage, scratch food and a comfortable environment 1 block from the beach off PCH.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We lost our businesses during the “COVID” “crisis.” The CA government shut us down in our thriving businesses. We went all in on Grover Station Grill and are so grateful with 7 days a week from a husband and wife working together we are still here.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Buying this and navigating it through COVID while having to close other businesses. Growing it into a new concept after the previous one had been here for 26 years with us owning it for the last 6 years.
