Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Franco.
Hi Eric, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I retired from the Army, my wife and I decided to put down roots in the Central Coast. I had earned my Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and had been teaching it for a number of years already so with the encouragement and support of many awesome friends, we opened Virtus Jiu-Jitsu in Paso Robles.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We’re blessed that our support was locked in before we opened. So it’s been really smooth. The hardest thing has been being first time business owners but that’s just something you figure out.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I own and teach at Virtus Jiu-Jitsu, an academy in Paso Robles, CA. We specialize in Gi Jiu-Jitsu and have classes for kids as young as 4 all the way through adults. We have an excellent safety record, have produced several successful competitors, and are proud to welcome families and individuals looking for anything between starting a hobby, competing, or getting in shape.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The laid back attitude and atmosphere of our town make it great. We have lots of history and lots to explore. Hopefully our area develops more things for families to do together!
