Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Barba.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
WE ARRIVE TO USA AT 1997 FROM SCRATCH, FROM CERO , WE START LIVING AT 2 CAR GARAGE ( ADU ) START WORKING LIKE DISHWASHER , AFTER I WORKING AT CONSTRUCTION ( INSTALL FIRE SPRINKLERS AT COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS ) , AFTER 3 YEARS I START WORKING LIKE A DRAFTSMAN WITH EARL WEEB ENGINEERING FOR MANY YEARS, AND FROM 2003 TO NOW I CREATE MY OWN FIRM FOR RESIDENTIAL , COMMERCIAL AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN PLANS. FROM SMALL ADDITIONS , MEDIUM SIZE HOMES & A BIG CUSTOM HOMES , FOR BUSSINES AND CELEBRITIES CLIENTS. WE DO ALSO PROJECTS ON DIFFERENT COUNTRIES ( COSTA RICA, MEXICO AND SOUTH ARABIA ) AND PARTICIPATE IN COLABORATION WITH OTHER FIRMS OVER SEAS.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
smooth ?,,, noup.. from dishwasher , assambly furniture , garden guy, fire sprinkler installer … to drafting guy, now i do projects in Mexico ( I have Architect Title ) since 2001 and i did many projects here in USA and other countries.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Never give up,,, allways talk and be social with all persons. from a Simple person you can obtain a nice referall to a big project !!
