Life & Work with Rachita Panchal of Central Coast (California)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachita Panchal.

Hi Rachita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Picture Perfect Events by Rach was born from a genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences and bringing people together. Long before I officially started my business, I found myself naturally drawn to planning events, organizing details, and making sure every celebration felt personal and unforgettable. What began as something I simply loved doing quickly became a calling.

With over 10 years of experience in the wedding and events industry, I’ve had the privilege of working on celebrations of all sizes—from intimate gatherings to large, multi-day weddings. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that successful events aren’t just about beautiful décor or flawless timelines; they’re about creating moments that couples and their families will cherish for a lifetime.

One of the biggest inspirations behind my business was recognizing the need for planners who truly understand multicultural weddings, particularly Indian and Indian fusion celebrations in Southern California. These weddings are filled with rich traditions, multiple ceremonies, and unique cultural details that deserve someone who not only understands the logistics but also appreciates their significance. I wanted couples to have someone they could trust to bridge cultures seamlessly while allowing them to fully enjoy their wedding experience.

Like many entrepreneurs, my journey wasn’t without challenges. Building a business from the ground up required countless hours, perseverance, and earning the trust of every client one wedding at a time. Every event taught me something new, strengthened my relationships with incredible vendors, and reinforced the importance of communication, adaptability, and teamwork. I truly believe that no wedding is successful because of one person—it takes an entire team of talented professionals working together toward one shared goal.

Today, I’m incredibly proud of how far Picture Perfect Events by Rach has come. What started as a passion has grown into a business that allows me to celebrate love stories while building lasting relationships with my couples. My goal has always been to create an experience where clients feel supported, heard, and genuinely excited throughout the planning process. I want every couple to be fully present on their wedding day, knowing every detail has been thoughtfully handled.

At the heart of my business is a simple belief: every love story deserves to be celebrated beautifully, authentically, and without unnecessary stress. It’s an honor to be trusted with such an important milestone, and I’m grateful that I get to turn my passion into a career that brings joy to others every single day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape both me and my business. Like many small business owners, one of the biggest hurdles was building a brand from the ground up and earning the trust of clients in such a competitive industry.

Every wedding is one of the most important days in a couple’s life, so establishing credibility and proving myself took time, consistency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Another challenge has been educating couples on the value of a wedding planner or coordinator. Many people don’t realize just how much goes on behind the scenes until they experience it themselves. My goal has always been to show clients that investing in professional planning isn’t just about logistics—it’s about creating a stress-free experience so they can truly enjoy every moment with their loved ones.

As someone who specializes in multicultural, Indian, and Indian fusion weddings, I’ve also worked to bring greater awareness to the need for planners who understand the traditions, timelines, and cultural nuances these celebrations require. While Southern California has a large South Asian community, there are still relatively few planners in the region who specialize in these weddings, making it important to educate both couples and venues about the unique expertise involved.

Like every entrepreneur, I’ve faced long hours, unexpected challenges, and moments of self-doubt. But those experiences have taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continuously learning and growing. Every obstacle has made me a stronger planner, a better leader, and a more compassionate partner for my clients.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey. The challenges have made every milestone even more meaningful, and seeing my couples enjoy one of the happiest days of their lives reminds me exactly why I started Picture Perfect Events by Rach in the first place.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Picture Perfect Events Events by Rach, I specialize in creating seamless, personalized wedding experiences that allow couples to be fully present and enjoy every moment of their celebration. I offer full-service planning, partial planning, and wedding coordination, working closely with each couple to bring their vision to life while managing every detail behind the scenes.

My expertise lies in multicultural, Indian, and Indian fusion weddings throughout Southern California. These celebrations often involve multiple ceremonies, intricate timelines, and meaningful cultural traditions, and I pride myself on understanding not only the logistics but also the significance behind each event. My goal is to bridge cultures effortlessly while creating a celebration that reflects each couple’s unique story.

What I’m most proud of is the trust my couples place in me. Weddings are deeply personal, and being chosen to guide one of the most important days of someone’s life is a responsibility I never take for granted. I also take great pride in the relationships I’ve built with talented vendors and venues over the years. I truly believe that every successful wedding is the result of a team working together with one shared purpose—to create an unforgettable experience for the couple.
What sets me apart is my personalized approach. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. Every couple has a different story, different priorities, and different traditions, and I take the time to truly understand what matters most to them. I combine meticulous organization with a calm, approachable personality, allowing my clients to feel supported, heard, and confident throughout the planning process.

Above all, I want my couples to remember how they felt on their wedding day—not the stress, but the joy. If they can be fully immersed in celebrating with the people they love while knowing every detail is being taken care of, then I’ve done my job. That’s the experience I strive to create for every single wedding.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe the wedding industry will continue to become more personalized, experience-driven, and inclusive over the next 5–10 years. Couples are moving away from the idea of following traditions simply because “that’s how it’s always been done.” Instead, they’re creating celebrations that genuinely reflect who they are, their cultures, and the experiences they want to share with their family and friends.

I also see multicultural weddings becoming even more prominent, especially in diverse regions like Southern California. As families blend different cultures and traditions, there will be an even greater need for planners who understand how to thoughtfully combine customs while honoring what makes each culture unique. I believe this is one of the most exciting shifts in our industry, and I’m proud to be part of that movement.

Technology will continue to play a larger role in planning, making communication, organization, and design inspiration more efficient. However, I don’t believe technology will ever replace the personal relationships and trust that are essential to successful wedding planning. Couples still want someone they can rely on to guide them through one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

I also think couples will place even greater value on hiring experienced professionals rather than simply looking for the lowest price. They’ll recognize that investing in a knowledgeable planner not only saves time and reduces stress but also creates a smoother, more enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

No matter how trends evolve, one thing will always remain the same: weddings are about celebrating love, family, and meaningful connections. My goal is to continue growing alongside the industry while staying true to what matters most—creating unforgettable celebrations that feel authentic, personal, and completely centered around each couple’s unique story.
