About ME-
I’m Jack! I’ve held many titles at Copper & Crystal over the years, ranging from Warehouse Manager to Project Manager, but my latest title is Owner! As a Central Coast native and Cal Poly alumni, this region holds a special place in my heart,
Over the years at Copper & Crystal, I’ve immersed myself in the wedding and event industry, witnessing firsthand the magic of special occasions and the importance of flawless execution. I have gained experiences that have given me a deep understanding of every aspect of the business.
In addition to Copper & Crystal, I honed my bartending skills in the bustling downtown of San Luis Obispo, where I spent over four years serving up drinks in fast-paced environments.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? Yes and no. I was fortunate enough to step into the role of owner for a fully functioning and well-established business. By the time I took over, the company was already doing well over 100 weddings / private events a year.
Maintaining the trust of preferred venues and fellow vendors has been integral to our continued success in a competitive industry. Of course balancing the operational side of the business with actually executing events has its own challenges.
One of the biggest struggles early on was learning to wear every hat—marketing, logistics, staffing, accounting, and bartending—all at the same time. There were plenty of late nights and weekends spent refining systems, solving problems, and making sure every event met our standards.
At the same time, those challenges have shaped who we are. Each obstacle forced us to improve our processes and focus on creating an experience that clients remember. Looking back, the difficult parts have made the business stronger and given us a much greater appreciation for every event and every client who trusts us with their celebration.
We’ve been impressed with Copper & Crystal, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Copper & Crystal is a full-service mobile bartending and beverage catering company that specializes in creating elevated, memorable bar experiences for weddings, private parties, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds. We believe the bar should be more than just a place to grab a drink—it should be a centerpiece that brings people together and enhances the entire event.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around sports. I grew up playing football and baseball, and my favorite part was getting to spend time doing what I love with some of my best friends. I learned the importance of hard work, accountability, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
That passion for sports has stayed with me throughout my life. Today, I’m still heavily involved in athletics as a high school baseball coach, where I have the opportunity to mentor young athletes and help them develop both on and off the field. The lessons I learned through sports (leadership, preparation, teamwork, and resilience) are the same values I bring to Copper & Crystal every day. Whether it’s coaching a baseball team or leading an event, success comes from preparation, trust, and everyone working together toward a common goal.
