Hi Jenni, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey with lash extensions began in 2019 when I was first introduced to the craft. I started learning and practicing, and in 2021, I took my first lash extension course. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion as I discovered how much I loved helping women feel confident and beautiful through lashes.
In 2024, I attended Palomar Cosmetology School, where I became a licensed cosmetologist. With five years of experience, I continue to grow my skills and passion for creating beautiful lashes and empowering women through my work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Along the way, I faced challenges, from experimenting with different lash brands and adhesives to continuously working on mastering the art and technique of lashing. Burnout has also been something I’ve struggled with throughout my journey. I’ve learned the importance of taking breaks, giving myself time to recharge, and appreciating how far I’ve come while still embracing the hustle.

The name Nova Lash was inspired by my furry baby Nova. I specialize in lash extensions, specifically wispy, natural lash sets. What sets me apart is that I customize and tailor each set to perfectly compliment my clients’ natural eye shape. I also take into consideration lifestyle, natural lash health and sensitivities.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor and listening to podcasts of business owners in the same industry has helped. It can be very hard to navigate owning a business and being successful so having mentorship is really important. Networking with others in the beauty industry is also super important and great for community.
