Hi Joleen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I opened Lucys On Lighthouse in the middle of Covid in July 2020. Timing wise wasn’t so perfect…
I ran our citys baseball park concessions for a few years, and everyone loved hot dogs!!! I knew I wanted to create a place where I could be more creative in our comfort food and bring it to our community in a fun fresh way.
We have now been open for six years and have made a name for ourselves and are thriving. We take pride in everything we do here. We don’t just serve food….. we want you to feel like you come into our home and we treat you like family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the first eight months of business, we were not allowed to have anybody dining inside thanks to the pandemic. That was definitely a huge hurdle and a struggle in the beginning. I’m very grateful we made it through those hard times and came out on the other side.
As you know, we’re big fans of Lucys On Lighthouse. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Lucys On Lighthouse is a fun fresh restaurant specializing in gourmet hotdogs, have it your way tater tots, homemade chili, homemade mac & cheese and fried brussels sprouts. Along with our menu, we serve 15 flavors of Mariannes Ice Cream from Santa Cruz as well as beer, wine and our specialty mermaid mimosas .
There’s no other place around like it. We try to make Lucys On Lighthouse a very laid-back, relaxing atmosphere where you can bring your friends and family and enjoy some amazing food, music and easy-going vibes!
We host live music every Saturday and Sunday from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock and we have fun events like hotdog eating contests, comedy nights, Line Dancing and Wiener Dog Races.
We support our community in any way possible. You get what you give.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We enjoy doing fundraisers for our community. We try to support all our schools and nonprofit organizations in Pacific Grove, and surrounding cities.
