Today we’d like to introduce you to Friendship Adult Day Care Center.
Hi Friendship Adult Day Care Center, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 1976, we saw a need to support our community through compassionate care programs, education, and meaningful connections for older adults living with dementia or similar conditions, so for 50 years we have been serving individuals experiencing memory changes and the sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, daughters, sons, professionals, students, families, and neighbors who walk alongside them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although we have been going strong for 50 years, it has not always been easy. One challenge we faced was faced was how to provide support and services to our families during the pandemic. At this time our offerings looked different, but we were still able to preserve and provide care for our members through virtual activities and various car parades and outdoor meet ups in our center parking lot.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Our city provides a peaceful and vibrant environment for out members living with dementia. Those we can for can enjoy their days soaking up the central coast sun, or taking a guided walk to the nearby beach. We are so grateful to have a center that is located in such a serene place.
