Hi Gisela , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began with a desire to build a business that would give me both professional fulfillment and the flexibility to be present for my children. I knew I wanted to create something of my own rather than follow a traditional corporate 9-to-5 path. With a passion for the beauty industry and a vision to help others succeed, I founded my business and worked tirelessly to grow it. Over the years, through dedication, perseverance, and faith, I have been able to build a successful academy that has trained and inspired countless students while also allowing me to prioritize my family. Today, I am proud of the impact we’ve made and excited for the continued growth and opportunities ahead.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business was not a smooth road. In the beginning, I had no formal business experience and had to learn everything on my own—from operations and marketing to leadership and financial management. There were many challenges and moments of uncertainty, but I remained committed to my vision. Through dedication, perseverance, and a strong determination to succeed, I continued to grow both personally and professionally. Every obstacle became a learning opportunity, and those experiences helped shape the successful business I have today. Looking back, the challenges were some of my greatest teachers and played a significant role in my growth as an entrepreneur.

As the founder of a beauty academy, my mission is to inspire others to pursue careers they are truly passionate about. I specialize in professional makeup education and have dedicated my career to helping aspiring artists develop both the technical skills and confidence needed to succeed in the beauty industry. What I am most proud of is the impact I have had on the lives of my students, especially women who have been able to build successful careers, gain financial independence, and follow their dreams. What sets me apart is my genuine commitment to mentorship, hands-on education, and creating opportunities for others to grow professionally and personally. Seeing my students succeed is one of my greatest accomplishments and continues to motivate me every day.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Having been in the beauty industry for over a decade, I believe the next 5–10 years will bring significant growth and innovation. Social media, digital marketing, and content creation will continue to shape the industry, creating more opportunities for makeup artists, beauty professionals, and entrepreneurs. I also see an increasing demand for specialized training, advanced beauty services, and education that combines both artistic and business skills. As the industry evolves, professionals who invest in ongoing education and adapt to new trends and technologies will have the greatest success. I feel incredibly blessed to have established my academy in 2013 and to still be operating successfully today. Looking ahead, my vision is to expand our impact by franchising the academy and providing even more opportunities for aspiring beauty professionals to build rewarding careers.
