Daily Inspiration: Meet Josh Fisher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Fisher.

Hi Josh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started a small Gourmet local sausage and hotdog stand in 2016, managed the property im in from 2014-2026, another beer garden moved in to thr space im in in 2024 and failed by Jan 2025, I took a chance and took over the space in March 2025 and we opened May 2025. We have been there for a little over a year and have transformed it into a music and gathering hub!! Local beer, locals and tourists alike having a great time!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I fought the city of Capitola to get my music rights back for almost 2 years trying to originally help the previous owner but when he left I was fighting for myself!!

Dealing with employees is always fun…its been a little bumpy but now have an amazing staff!!

Being in Capitola Village is a blessing and a curse…you have 100 days a year to make your money for the whole year and then you hope to pay rent, pay employees and pay vendors the rest of the year.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Customer service and hospitality management has always been my forte, but I have literally done almost everything from grunt work digging ditches and moving lumber and concrete to picking orders and fulfillment in a warehouse or office space to graphic design and web design and building houses and landscaping and cleaning roofs and gutters and window cleaning to selling door to door(knives values etc) to restsurants and coffee shops and bars and catering to property management and being a serial entrepreneur!!

My extreme ADHD was an issue growing up in school, but a blessing in real life as im already moving so fast it allows me to hyperfocus on one thing or spaz mode work on 100 things at once.

They call me the “Unofficial Mayor of Capitola” for a reason…i have spent over a decade helping better the community that I live in and work in…we make our money here and spend our money here!!

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Happy to have pop ups, ans team uo with restaurants or caterers and musicians alike!! We have already hosted sevral events including “Yappy Hour” a special event focused on raising money for our local animal shelter and ended up raising over $5k in one day!!
