Hi Fernando, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started working in my industry 2005 as a flatbed tow operator for various companies in Los Angeles county then eventually operating a wheel lift tow truck for 3 yrs then moved to San Diego in 2018 with my current wife who is born and raised in San Diego…..in 2019 i started working with a towing company named roadone towing of San Diego then eventually started towing for guarding towing out of mira mesa, ca then July of 2023 my ex boss decided to retire and that made me reevaluate my current situation of a career and that is when i decided to go into business for myself and started Gomez roadside a 24 hour roadside assistance for majority of motorclubs except AAA and been in business for close to 3 yrs in August is my 3rd yr anniversary in business and every yr my business gross gets higher even in this economy…..you have to remember as long as there is cars still on the road ill always have a career in this industry
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles with owning a business that am facing are marketing and competitive prices to my customers and paperwork when it comes to my taxes plus the raising cost of insurance and gas and trying to stay competitive as well maintain steady workflow

I own and operate a 24 hour emergency roadside assistance company that specializes in 12volt battery replacement and battery terminal replacement on most vehicles including EV and hybrid I also automotive knowledge to educate my customers on there cars on how to maintain them or what to look out for in the future not to mention other roadside assistance in jump starts , lock outs, and tire services…..am most proud is being a Hispanic owned company in a industry that is well run by other race of color and culture and having people be happy knowing a Hispanic owned company is serving in there time of need at any time of the day Gomez roadside will come to the rescue….what set me apart from other companies is my knowledge being in the industry for so long that i can trouble shoot and fix most problems customers experience well getting stuck in there every day life that can cause a inconvenience in there day
