Hi Marie Antonette, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started with a grandmother who owned land and ran a store. And a grandfather who brought Karate to the Philippines. Lola (Grandmother) taught me business and sacrifice. She rode a bus for hours to buy me my first stationery set. Lolo (Grandfather) taught me discipline and respect. He didn’t teach students to fight. He taught them to stand, breathe, and hold the line when it hurts.
I came to America and learned fast that every room has rules. I showed up to a championship game without basketball shoes. Someone lent me hers and said, “Go and play.” I took the shot. We won. That moment taught me: Ask for access. Then own the outcome.
From there I built companies and learned why most brands stall at 7 figures. The problem isn’t marketing. It’s discipline + score. They chase rooms they didn’t earn, so their brand breaks under pressure.
Today I help 7-figure brands scale to 8 and 9 figures by scoring where they are, fixing the foundation, and teaching them how to hold the line. Practical strategy. Born from business, discipline, and real losses.
I got here because of my grandmother’s bus ride, my grandfather’s dojo, a borrowed pair of shoes, and a faith that kept me when nothing else made sense.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No. It has not been a smooth road. If it was smooth, I wouldn’t be able to help the founders I serve today.
Struggle 1: Learning the rules of a new country.
I came to America with discipline from my grandfather’s dojo and business sense from my grandmother’s store. But I didn’t know the unspoken rules. I showed up to championship games without the right shoes. I chased rooms I didn’t earn. I learned fast: talent without access gets you benched. That’s why I teach brands now to score where they are before they try to scale.
Struggle 2: Watching cycles repeat in my family.
I grew up seeing how discipline without love becomes fear. How inheritance without discipleship becomes addiction. My brother was the price of that cycle. I watched it, I couldn’t fix it, and it broke me. But it also gave me clarity. Now when I work with founders, I don’t just fix their marketing. I ask: What foundation are you building on? Will it hold when pressure comes?
Struggle 3: Building companies the hard way.
I made every mistake. I hired wrong. I scaled fast without systems. I passed when I should have shot. I thought hustle was strategy. It isn’t. I lost money, lost time, lost confidence. But every loss became curriculum. Today my clients skip those losses because I’ve already paid for them.
The lesson: The road taught me what no MBA could. Score before you scale. Fix the foundation before you add floors. And ask for help before you burn out. My grandfather taught me to hold the line when it hurts. My grandmother taught me sacrifice shows up. Those two lessons are why I can sit with a founder at 7 figures and say: “I see you. I’ve been there. Here’s the way through.”

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is watching my parents rebuild what kept flooding.
My mom helped build the old one-story school in our community. Every rainy season it flooded. Kids couldn’t learn. So she didn’t just complain. She went to the city, found the funding, and led the rebuild to a strong 3-floor school. She taught me that when the foundation fails, you don’t abandon the building. You fix it and go higher.
My dad protected the community. He was the guy everyone called when trouble came to the door. He taught me that leadership means standing at the door so others can walk through safely.
So my 3 favorite memories are tied together: My grandmother giving credit in her store and teaching me access. My grandfather teaching me discipline in the dojo. My mom rebuilding a flooded school and teaching me to fix the foundation. My dad protecting the door and teaching me to hold the line.
