Hi Gabriel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I founded National Development Group in 2021 after spending several years as a Project Manager for a variety of construction companies, including those in the electrical sector. Throughout my career, I noticed a consistent gap in the level of personalized, white-glove service being provided to clients. I believed there was an opportunity to elevate the customer experience by combining quality construction services with exceptional communication, attention to detail and client care. That vision became the foundation of National Development Group, a company built on delivering a higher standard of service in the construction industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting National Development Group came with its own set of challenges. I entered the industry with a clear vision of how construction projects should be managed, but very limited financial resources to bring that vision to life. Building a company from the ground up required persistence, hard work, and a willingness to take risks. I had a dream, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing things differently.
Throughout my years as a Project Manager, I saw firsthand how poor coordination between contractors and subcontractors often led to unnecessary delays, inefficiencies, and frustration for clients. I also recognized that many companies were slow to adopt modern technology, making communication, project management, and client engagement more difficult than they needed to be. In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, I believed there was a better way.
From the beginning, my goal was to build a company that prioritized exceptional service, quality craftsmanship, and strong project communication. However, delivering that level of service comes at a cost, particularly in the residential market, where budget constraints often limit homeowners’ ability to invest in premium materials and a higher standard of project execution. While this approach was not always the lowest-cost option, I remained committed to providing the best possible experience and long-term value for our clients.
As a result, our focus naturally expanded into the commercial sector and assisted living facilities, where clients often place a greater emphasis on quality, reliability, and durability. By leveraging modern technology, fostering strong relationships with subcontractors, and maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence, National Development Group has built a reputation for delivering efficient, transparent, and client-focused construction solutions that stand the test of time.
