Meet Manish Chandra of Santa Cruz Ayurveda

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manish Chandra.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I used to have a chronic sinusitis when I was a teenager and modern medicine fell short in healing my chronic condition for years. Then I explore dAyurveda to heal my condition and I’m now free of sinus for 13 years. This lead me to go deeper in Ayurvedic and eneded up studying Ayurveda and now been practicing for 15 years,

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life can be hard and challenging. Lots of hard work, dedication, and devotion lead me here.

We’ve been impressed with Santa Cruz Ayurveda , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We offer Ayurveda, one of the oldest medical sciences, comes from Indian subcontinent. We offer Ayurvedic consultations, Gut healing protocol, Ayurvedic bodywork such as warm herbal oil massages.

Ayurveda is about using food, herbs, and lifestyle techniques to enhance well-being and resolve health issues. It’s been practiced for over five thousand years. We learn together what’s going on with you by talking and assessing your pulses and your Dosha (biological humor). Then we create a plan with foods, herbs, lifestyle shifts, and Yoga, Pranayama, and meditation practices.

We specialize in Gut Healing protocol. “To heal the brain, we first heal the gut” is an enduring principle found throughout Ayurvedic wisdom. In today’s world, this teaching is more relevant than ever. Periodically rebooting the digestive system and replenishing it with healthy microbes and balanced gut flora is something every body can benefit from supporting optimal digestion, sustained energy, and long-term inner harmony.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The unknown reality of life itself forces us each day to come out of the comfort zone and make decisions which can be risky. This in itself is a beauty of life. Therefore, I embrace taking risks which doesn’t harm others.
