Today we’d like to introduce you to Joey Dupkin.
Hi Joey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up on Long Island, New York, and spent a lot of my childhood around the beach, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family. Those experiences helped shape my appreciation for simplicity, relationships, and adventure.
In my early 20s, I went through a difficult season and struggled with severe anxiety. That period of my life ultimately led me to faith in Jesus, and making that decision completely changed the direction of my life. It gave me a new sense of purpose, peace, and perspective.
Along the way, I met an amazing woman from California named Megan. We’ve now been married for almost three years and have a wonderful one-and-a-half-year-old son named Cyrus. We currently live in San Diego in a 38-foot fifth wheel trailer. Before Cyrus was born, we often talked about living in a bus or van, but life ended up taking us in a different direction, and this is where we feel God led us.
Living in a small space definitely comes with challenges, but it has also taught us a lot about being intentional, adaptable, and grateful. It’s a unique lifestyle that gives us a sense of freedom and keeps us focused on what matters most—our faith, our family, and the experiences we share together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One thing I’ve learned is that following Jesus doesn’t mean life is free from challenges—it just means you have someone to walk through those challenges with.
One struggle we’ve been dealing with recently is living full-time in our fifth wheel. Things break from time to time, and since neither of us had experience with this lifestyle before, every repair becomes a learning experience. What seems like a small issue can easily turn into an all-day project as we figure out how to fix it safely and correctly.
Another challenge has been becoming a first-time parent. Being a dad has probably been one of the biggest personal growth experiences of my life. It’s taught me what it really means to be selfless and to put someone else’s needs ahead of my own every single day. There have been plenty of moments where I’ve felt stretched and challenged, but at the same time, it’s been the most rewarding and incredible experience. Being Cyrus’s dad is one of the greatest blessings in my life.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a content creator who shares my life following Jesus, living full-time in a fifth wheel, and navigating life as a husband and father. My content reflects my love for faith, family, the outdoors, and living simply. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, I’m usually documenting the experience and looking for ways to tell a meaningful story through video.
The reason I create the content I do is because my faith completely changed my life. Jesus had such a profound impact on me that I genuinely want others to experience that same hope and transformation. Through my videos, I try to encourage people, share real life, and point them toward what matters most.
I specialize in content centered around faith, family, outdoor adventure, simple living, and everyday moments. Those are the things I’m most passionate about, and they’re what people know me for.
What I’m most proud of is my family and the life we’ve built together. My wife, Megan, and our son, Cyrus, are my greatest blessings, and I love being able to share pieces of our journey with others.
What sets me apart is that I truly love creating. For me, making videos is much more than a job—it’s something I would do whether I was getting paid for it or not. I genuinely enjoy the process of capturing moments, telling stories, and creating content that can inspire and encourage people.
Any big plans?
I’m really excited about what’s ahead. One of the biggest projects I’m working on is releasing a Christian country album that I wrote, sang on, and helped produce. Music has always been a huge passion of mine, and I love the art of creating songs that can encourage, inspire, and impact people in a meaningful way.
I’m also in the process of launching a business that I can’t share too much about just yet, but it’s something I’ve been working hard on and am very excited to bring to life.
On top of that, my wife and I are preparing to officially launch our photography website. We both have a passion for photography, storytelling, and creating beautiful content, so it’s something we’re really looking forward to sharing with others.
Most importantly, we’re excited about continuing to grow our family. Lord willing, we hope to welcome baby number two in the near future.
At the end of the day, my goal is to keep creating—whether that’s through videos, music, photography, or business—and to use those opportunities to serve others, glorify God, and build a meaningful life with my family.
