Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith And Jose Luis Silverio.
Hi Judith and Jose Luis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
This story is about my family
Our family’s flower farming journey began with a dream, hard work, and a love for nature. My husband and I are immigrants from Mexico who came to the United States in search of a better future for our family. In 2016, we officially started our flower farm on California’s beautiful Central Coast, turning our passion into a family business.
Today, our business is truly a family effort. We have three children, and we are proud to teach them the value of hard work, responsibility, and the importance of staying connected to the land. Our sons, Diego and Fernando, help us in the fields every day after school, learning firsthand what it means to grow something with dedication and care. Our daughter, JD, has a special talent for floral design. She loves arranging flowers and creating beautiful bouquets that bring happiness to our customers.
My husband’s experience working for a rose-growing company gave us the knowledge and confidence to begin growing our own flowers. Together, we have built our business one season at a time, nurturing every bloom with love and care.
Every week, we attend local farmers markets throughout the Central Coast, where we enjoy meeting our customers and sharing the flowers we have grown. Once a week, we also travel to San Francisco to deliver our flowers to the wholesale flower market, helping us reach even more people with our fresh blooms.
In 2026, we were incredibly honored to be recognized as the Best of the Central Coast by The Tribune. This award reflects not only our family’s hard work but also the support of our wonderful community and loyal customers who have believed in us since the beginning.
Flower farming is more than our business—it’s our way of life. We love working with nature, watching each season bring new life, and creating beauty that people can take home and enjoy. As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to work together as a family, share the beauty of flowers with our community, and harvest smiles in every bloom.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not smooth road at all. Money, time
( because we still had conventional jobs) permits, licenses, good providers, and when we finally have our first blooms…customers!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We grow premium flowers, long lasting, affordable and we are so proud for the support we’ve received from our community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in working with purpose, perseverance and giving your whole heart, soul, and love to what you do. When you do that, God moves everything into place to make it happen.
