Life & Work with Shyla Nibbe of Central Coast (California)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shyla Nibbe.

Hi Shyla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey in entertainment began more than 25 years ago as a singer, songwriter, and talent manager. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible artists and creatives, and those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling and the impact entertainment can have on people’s lives.

In 2008, I founded True Wonder Entertainment with a mission to produce children’s and family content that is positive, uplifting, and inspiring. I wanted to help fill a need for family entertainment that is both engaging and meaningful, while offering stories that leave audiences feeling hopeful and encouraged.

Along the way, I had the privilege of serving as a producer on an award-winning short film that was screened at the American Black Film Festival and went on to win the Hollywood Film Critics Award for Best Short Film. More recently, our latest project, Truth Saves the World, has won 10 national film awards, further reinforcing my belief that positive, purpose-driven storytelling can connect with audiences and make a meaningful impact.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. Creating film projects on tight budgets and fundraising are some examples of challenges

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
