Hi Jess, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a little girl I always loved playing dress up, pop culture, reading fashion magazines, and embracing my girlhood. In the midst of growing up and focusing so much on school and the “right path” to a career, I lost sight of that. Fast forward to just over three years ago, I decided to study astrology and started giving astrology readings on the side. I was told by many of my friends and clients that I had a gift for it, but I quickly became bored of it and stopped giving them altogether. Then, in summer of 2025, I flew to San Diego to work with one of my intuitive business mentors and she suggested I combine astrology with fashion. At the time, I straight up told her no. How would I do that? Over that year I had gone through a massive break up and I was gradually getting back into fashion as a way of coming home to myself. But the thought of combining the two blew my mind. A few months later, some of my astrology clients asked if I would create a Pinterest mood board for them based on their astrology chart. I asked what they wanted it to be around and they said anything and to just create it. Naturally, it was all around their beauty and how to style them based on their placements. I was shocked at how easily it came to me and remembered what my business mentor had suggested—this was it. I realized, if I can do this for them, I must be able to do it for myself. So, I did, and I started embodying my new style, sharing it to social media, and people quickly noticed. Before this I never had a “style” per se, so to be able to discover one that truly resonated with me filled me with so much joy and made me come alive. I started getting clients shortly after that and it’s been a beautiful unfolding ever since.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s had its ups and downs as any entrepreneurship journey does. When you’re in the building phase of a business, there’s not much consistency and you’re a one woman show. I’ve had to really learn how to get more organized and pour into the parts of being a business owner that I don’t “love”, but the part that I do love (the styling and my clients), make it 100% worth it. I’m so passionate about what I do, and that’s what gets me through any challenging season with it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Astro Styling with Jess. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m an astrology-led personal stylist. I help successful, spiritual women curate a personal style unique to them based on their astrology chart. Using astrology creates a one-of-a-kind aesthetic for each of my clients; no two are ever the same. This is what sets me apart. What I’ve come to find through my own journey and also through that of my clients is that so many women feel lost when it comes to expressing themselves through their style. I think many of us don’t think about style as a form of self-expression, but it’s one of the most important forms of it there is. When you are dressed in alignment with who you are, you radiate confidence, and it makes you magnetic. Your whole life changes. With my brand, I bring visuals to each of the zodiac signs to help people better understand their essence. Astrology is such a useful tool that we can use to better understand ourselves, and being able to bring it to life through aesthetics adds another layer for people. This is how I’m meant to share it. I also offer full-service styling, which eliminates the stress and overwhelm of overhauling your wardrobe and rebuilding it based on your unique essence. It’s a process, and I like to support my clients every step of the way. It’s basically like doing personal development—but fun.
