Hidden Gems: Meet Jardin Webb of Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jardin Webb.

Hi Jardin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into chiropractic actually started with a horseback riding accident in high school.

I took a significant fall and landed hard on my tailbone. At the time, I got back up, climbed back on the horse, and thought nothing of it. But in the years that followed, I began experiencing symptoms that nobody could seem to explain. I struggled with lightheadedness, episodes of fainting, and autoimmune issues. Whenever I sought answers, I was often told some version of, “You’re young, you’re thin, just don’t stand up so fast.”

Deep down, I knew something wasn’t right.

As I studied biology in college, I became fascinated by anatomy, physiology, and the nervous system. The more I learned, the more I started to realize that though my symptoms were all over the place, all of those functions were controlled by the autonomic nervous system. This system is responsible for handling all functions in outbody that we don’t have to consciously think about, such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, sleep, and so much more. I didn’t know exactly what was happening, but it became clear to me that my autonomic nervous system was not functioning like it should.

While researching the nervous system, I kept coming across chiropractic. The philosophy of supporting the body’s ability to heal and regulate itself resonated with me, and I decided to pursue chiropractic school.

During chiropractic school, I began receiving regular chiropractic care. My back felt great and my mobility improved, but the neurological symptoms that originally started my journey never fully resolved. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the Blair Upper Cervical Technique that things truly began to make sense.

The Blair technique focuses on the relationship between the upper neck and the nervous system, using advanced imaging and highly specific corrections tailored to each person’s anatomy. Because of this, the corrections are gentle- no twisting or cracking, and they stay in place a lot longer than the traditional chiropractic adjustment. As I began receiving Blair care, many of the symptoms I had dealt with for years improved, and for the first time I felt like I wasn’t constantly chasing the next adjustment.

That experience completely changed the trajectory of my life.

Today, I own Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic in Carlsbad, California, where I help patients who are dealing with migraines, dizziness, postural imbalances, TMJ dysfunction, neck pain, back pain, post-concussion symptoms, and many of the same unanswered questions that once led me down this path myself.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people feel heard and giving them hope when they’ve been told to simply live with their symptoms.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I think those challenges have shaped both who I am and the kind of doctor I strive to be.

Personally, one of the biggest struggles was navigating years of symptoms without clear answers. It’s frustrating to know something is wrong with your body while repeatedly being told that everything looks normal or that your symptoms aren’t significant. That experience taught me the importance of listening to patients and taking their concerns seriously, even when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.

Professionally, opening a practice from scratch has been a rollercoaster .Like many new business owners, I’ve had to wear every hat imaginable: doctor, marketer, website designer, accountant, and office manager, all while continuing to learn and grow clinically.

There were moments where things moved slower than I hoped they would, and moments where I questioned whether I was doing enough or making the right decisions, But each patient success story reinforced why I started this journey in the first place.

Building Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic has taught me resilience, patience, and the value of community. Organizations like BNI and the relationships I’ve built with other local professionals have played a huge role in helping me grow both personally and professionally.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change the difficult parts of the journey because they ultimately led me to create the kind of practice I would have wanted to find when I was searching for answers myself.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic ?
Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic is a Blair Upper Cervical practice located in Carlsbad, California. We specialize in the upper cervical spine, the top two vertebrae in the neck, and their relationship to the nervous system.

What makes our practice different is our commitment to precision and individualized care. No two people have the exact same anatomy, so we don’t believe every patient should receive the same adjustment. Every new patient undergoes a thorough examination and a Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scan, allowing us to analyze their unique anatomy and determine the precise direction of correction before any adjustment is made.

Another aspect that sets us apart is our philosophy of care. Many people think chiropractic means getting adjusted every visit, but in our practice, the goal is actually the opposite. We want patients to hold their correction for as long as possible because that’s when the body has the opportunity to heal and adapt. We check patients carefully at each visit and only adjust when it’s necessary.

We care for patients experiencing migraines, vertigo, dizziness, TMJ dysfunction, chronic neck pain, post-concussion symptoms, and other conditions that may be influenced by the relationship between the upper cervical spine and the nervous system. Many of our patients come to us after trying multiple approaches without finding lasting relief, and our goal is to help them discover whether upper cervical care may be a missing piece of the puzzle.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the technology or the technique—it’s the experience we strive to create. I know firsthand what it’s like to spend years searching for answers and feeling unheard. Because of that, I’ve built Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic to be a place where patients feel listened to, educated, and cared for. Every treatment plan is personalized, every adjustment is intentional, and every patient is treated as an individual rather than a diagnosis.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
A big shift I am starting to see is that people are becoming more interested in proactive health rather than simply reacting to symptoms. They’re looking for ways to support their nervous system, improve function, and maintain long-term wellness before problems become chronic. That’s an exciting direction because it encourages healthcare providers to focus not only on helping people recover, but also on helping them stay healthy.

Ultimately, I think the future of healthcare belongs to practitioners who are willing to listen, educate, collaborate with other professionals, and tailor care to each individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
