Hi Haley & Michael, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re a husband-and-wife real estate team based in Capitola, California, and we’ve both spent our lives in the Monterey Bay Area. Growing up here gave us a deep appreciation for the communities we serve and inspired us to build a business centered around relationships, trust, and local expertise.
Like any business, it hasn’t always been a straight path. We’ve experienced slower years, changing markets, and plenty of challenges, but each one pushed us to improve how we serve our clients. Today, much of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals, which we see as the greatest compliment. Our focus has always been simple: make buying or selling a home as stress-free as possible while treating every client the way we’d want our own family to be treated.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been easy. Like everyone in real estate, we’ve experienced changing markets and the ups and downs of owning a business. Our biggest challenge, however, was learning how to build a business together as husband and wife.
In the beginning, we were both wearing every hat and figuring things out as we went. It took time to define our roles, learn to trust each other’s strengths, and create a healthy balance between work and home. Those early growing pains weren’t always easy, but they made us stronger.
Looking back, we’re grateful for those challenges because they shaped not only our business, but our marriage as well. Today, we work as a true team, and we believe our clients benefit from that partnership every day.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What sets us apart is that we’re never trying to be the biggest team. Our focus has always been on creating the best experience possible for every client. We primarily serve buyers and sellers throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey County, and over the years we’ve developed a particular appreciation for helping clients purchase and sell luxury Central Coast homes and unique properties.
We also believe real estate is about more than just buying and selling homes. It’s about helping people through important life transitions. Whether someone is relocating, upsizing, downsizing, or looking for a property that better fits their lifestyle, we enjoy being part of that journey and helping them find the right path forward.
One thing we’re especially proud of is the collection of guides and checklists we’ve created for both buyers and sellers. They’ve evolved over the years through real client experiences and have become an important part of how we help make the process feel a little more organized and a lot less overwhelming.
