We were married in the Summer of 2021. Throughout the wedding-planning process, we wanted our celebration to be fun and inclusive. Lawn games were the key to bringing our friends and family together. And let me tell you, this was the absolute best decision we could have made. It added the perfect vibe. All of our guests, friends and families alike, were raving about the fun selection of outdoor lawn games to play at our wedding reception! We took full responsibility of planning and setting up for our wedding reception, although it was an experience that brought us closer together in our relationship, we realized the value in hiring out professional help to curate the entertaining elements of the event. Thus, our vision for a lawn game rental service was born!
The Rustic Vibe brings the fun and rustic aesthetic to you! We are based in Ventura Country, also servicing Los Angeles and much of Southern California! We offer a wide variety of backyard lawn games for all types of events. What started as a small startup, local rental business has grown to a small family-owned business that operates over 50 events per year, we have multiple trailers and have worked many types of events, from wedding to corporate events. Some highlights for us have been working events for Warner Bros. Studies, the NFL Network, James Corden Nightly Show, and others as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every business that attempts to get on its feet has its ups and downs. We began with local advertising on social media. Early on the quality of games were not to the standard that we hold ourselves today, and the greatest hurdle for us has been establishing a benchmark of quality and finding a niche of lawn games that is appropriate for the most formal events, such as weddings and galas. Thus, what we have always continued to overcome is the stigma of outdoor games at events: it’s for children and can be seen as a “cheap” rental option for any event. What many have learned is that from adults to children to elderly alike, games are a source of community and bringing people together. We have struck the perfect balance of innocent fun and a high-end aesthetic that works with any type of event.
What has made this ride smooth for us is we haven’t tried to be anything more than what people love about our business and service: an outdoor lawn game rental company. We have progressively added more fun games and packages, and looked to enhance the quality of games and guest experience.

The Rustic Vibe is based in Thousand Oaks and specializes in lawn game rentals for all types of special events in Southern California. We provide outdoor games for weddings & engagements, company events, as well as birthdays and celebrations. We offer a selection of over 14 outdoor lawn games, with many packages and special add-ons available for rent.
Our specialty is outdoor game rentals, we do not stray from that and instead we focus on being the best at just that in Southern California. This is what sets us apart. The quality, size, and variety of handcrafted games and signs is also what sets us apart from competitors or other rental companies that offer game rental options. Most of our games are custom built by us, with an artistic attention to detail. Our signs that accompany each game are also handcrafted by us and have personally been designed for a cute aesthetic and instructions on how the games are played and scored. As part of our packages, we offer full delivery, set up, and pick up service. It truly is a personalized product and service that we offer. And we are so proud of what it has grown to become.
First and foremost, we are most proud that this business organically grew into something that all types of clients desire. We have had so many great relationships with prior clients and venues, and we continue to enjoy what we do. This business started with our own wedding reception, and it continues to be a bonding experience for us as a family. We enjoy bringing the fun to so many events, and exploring more beautiful areas and venues all across Central and Southern California.
