Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlyn Morgan.
Hi Caitlyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started tattooing from a dream I had as a 14 year old girl, looking in car magazines- admiring the tattooed guys and gals, and creating artwork my friends parents would say “that would make a great tattoo”
It was always my intention but worry in the back of my mind told me it wasn’t realistic. I continued to get tattooed and hangout in tattoo shops, while going to college and that passion and determination never went away. I still had that feeling that- tattooing is where I wanted to be
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Tattooing hasn’t always been an easy road, the mental struggle of constantly second guessing yourself or taking home the stories your clients trust you with always has an impact.
The intimate experience you have with every individual is so unique and special, and can sometimes be emotional.
No matter what’s happened in my journey I’m thankful for it because it’s led me to where I am with the opportunities I have to share with each person.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’d say I feel most inspired by American traditional tattooing, those I look up to most practice this style and it has always caught my eye.
I’m most proud of my ability to cater to each client. I think that’s one of the things that sets me apart from many other artists is my patience with each client and my intent to create the thing that they want while also offering my best and honest opinion. I believe tattoos are for the real life working class people, the people with life experience and stories to tell. I find it exciting and so interesting. I think artists sometimes get too caught up in trying to tattoo just their artwork. I think it’s important to realize that this is an experience and has importance to the person sitting in our chair and we should be more willing to listen to their story and why they are here.

Tattoos aren’t for everyone, I believe there is value in knowing yourself and if its not for you so be it, that’s ok too!
