Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Parsons.
Hi Kelly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Kelly and I am a singer songwriter. It has been a constructive outlet all my life. In 2004 I became a licensed Daycare provider. I created the concept of a performing arts Daycare to teach the children the same constructive outlet that I’ve had all my life. I believe that music is a universal language that holds the key to many areas in our lives . I provide all sorts of instruments in my daycare, piano, keyboards, guitars, bells, harmonicas,drums etc..I also provide ballet and tap shoes for them to learn the performing arts in dance. The ages can be as young as six months to four years. I have a floor Piano that the six month old child crawls on and learns their notes at an early age. I put on a couple of shows a year so their parents can see their child on stage. This not only teaches talent it builds self-esteem and confidence to get on stage and perform in front of an audience, especially their parents whom they aim to please.. my concept has come so far. 24 years later. I still have kids that are now grown-up in touch with me to let me know how well they’re doing in their life, that right there is my paycheck.
Kellys performing arts Daycare. I would love to build a franchise someday and hand it down to people that have the desire purpose and passion to teach the children. What I teach is a constructive outlet that they can use throughout their life.. There are many destructive outlets, which we all see that are happening in our world. I would like to provide a constructive one so they always have something positive to lean on. They are our leaders of tomorrow.
What are we teaching them?
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth most of the way. The only struggles would be losing clients due to a move or a job change. In other words, the only struggle would be money. The rest is really smooth sailing if you love what you do and have a passion and purpose for it.
And most of all genuinely Love children.

I run a performing arts, Daycare. I teach children at a very young age the values of music and musical instruments and dance. I am most proud of the shows that I have orchestrated all on my own. It is so rewarding watching them up on stage be so proud of themselves .What sets me apart from others is my ability to create these shows and convince them that they are good enough to get up there on stage in front of people. I believe this is my purpose and my passion to teach my own talents to our next generation.I love children enough to dedicate my life to them and teach our new generation performing arts in different ways.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Teaching and handing down my talents to the next generation. Creating a safe and constructive atmosphere for them feeds their growth in development in so many ways. Teaching them the art of music and dance can follow them through the rest of their lives in a very constructive way.
