Check Out Jacqueline’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline.

Hi Jacqueline, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began during the pandemic, when the place where I was working had to close its doors. That unexpected change gave me the opportunity to discover my passion for balloon décor. I decided to take classes and educate myself so I could develop my skills and provide quality service to my clients.

What started during a difficult and uncertain time has grown into Jackie’s Balloon Decor. Over the years, I have continued learning, challenging myself, and exploring new techniques. Today, I create balloon décor and artistic designs for special celebrations, always with the goal of giving my clients beautiful work, quality service, and memorable experiences.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was moving to a new city and having to adapt, build new connections, and establish a new client base. I’ve also learned that continuing my education is very important, so I regularly invest in classes and training to improve my skills and provide the best possible service and value to my clients.

Another challenge is that there are slower seasons throughout the year, especially when economic conditions affect how people spend on celebrations. During those times, I’ve learned the importance of staying consistent, promoting my services, creating new content, and finding new ways to connect with potential clients. Every challenge has helped me grow, adapt, and become stronger as both an artist and a business owner.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a balloon artist and the owner of Jackie’s Balloon Decor. I specialize in creating custom balloon décor and artistic designs for celebrations, including garlands, backdrops, large installations, balloon dresses, and unique balloon creations.

What I enjoy most is transforming balloons into something unexpected and creating designs that are personalized for each client. I’m especially proud of how much I have grown as an artist by continuously investing in education, learning new techniques, and challenging myself creatively.

What sets me apart is my attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to quality. For me, it’s not just about decorating an event—it’s about creating an experience and something memorable for my clients. I want each design to reflect their celebration while also showing my own artistic style.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
One of the things that has worked best for me is continuing my education and putting myself in environments where I can meet other artists and professionals in the industry. Taking classes, attending balloon events, and connecting with other creatives has allowed me to learn from people I admire and build meaningful relationships.

My advice is to not be afraid to introduce yourself, ask questions, and genuinely support others. Networking is not only about what someone can do for you; it’s about building real relationships, learning from each other, and growing together. Some of my best connections have come simply from being open to learning and participating in the balloon community.
