Today we’d like to introduce you to Lariza Regalado Young.
Hi Lariza, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into fitness and wellness began during the postpartum period after having my first daughter. I had gained a significant amount of weight and, more than anything, I didn’t feel like myself. I started exercising to rebuild my confidence, but along the way, I fell in love with how movement made me feel—strong, capable, and connected to my body again.
During my second pregnancy, I was able to maintain a healthier lifestyle. However, after my son was born with several health complications, my wellness journey took on a much deeper meaning. I began learning about nutrition, gut health, the food industry, and more natural, low-tox ways of living. That experience inspired me to become certified as a Gut and Psychology Syndrome health coach and to continue expanding my education through fitness, strength training, and mat Pilates.
Today, I’m a mom of three, a strength and mat Pilates instructor, a gut health coach, and a wellness content creator. I’m passionate about helping women feel strong, confident, and empowered through movement and sustainable wellness habits. My son made a full recovery and is thriving today, which makes this path incredibly personal to me. What began as an effort to feel like myself again ultimately became my purpose and the work I feel called to share with others.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of my first struggles was losing my sense of confidence and identity after becoming a mother. I had to learn to be patient with my body and understand that progress wasn’t going to happen overnight.
The most difficult chapter was navigating my son’s health complications. There was so much fear and uncertainty, and I was trying to educate myself while also caring for my children. Although that season was incredibly challenging, it pushed me to look deeper into nutrition, gut health, and wellness—and ultimately gave my work a much greater purpose.
Building a career while raising three children has also required a lot of balance. There have been early mornings, long days, self-doubt, and moments when I wondered if I was doing enough in any area of my life. Over time, I’ve learned that wellness isn’t about perfection or having everything figured out. It’s about consistency, giving yourself grace, and continuing to show up. Those struggles have shaped the way I coach today because I understand how important it is to meet women where they are and help them create habits that fit their real lives.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a strength and mat Pilates instructor, a certified Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) health coach, and a wellness content creator. My work focuses on helping women become stronger, feel more confident, and create healthier lifestyles through movement, education, and realistic habits. I teach group and private classes, offer one-on-one gut health consultations, and create customized wellness events for companies, communities, and private groups.
I think I’m best known for the energy I bring to everything I do. I genuinely love fitness and wellness—it isn’t simply my career; it’s part of who I am and how I live. My classes are challenging, but they’re also welcoming, motivating, and fun. I’m disciplined and passionate about what I do, but I don’t believe wellness should feel like a punishment. I want people to enjoy moving their bodies and leave feeling stronger, more energized, and excited to continue.
What I’m most proud of is turning such a personal chapter of my life into work that now helps other people. As a mom of three, I understand that life is busy and that wellness has to be sustainable. I meet people where they are and help them build habits that work within their real lives.
What sets me apart is the way I bring together strength, Pilates, gut health, personal experience, and genuine connection. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether someone books a gut health consultation, a private mat Pilates or strength class, or a complete wellness event, my goal is to create an experience that feels personal, uplifting, and memorable.
