Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamaal Ennis.
Hi Jamaal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the projects/low income housing. Big family, Moved around a lot as kids . Growing up was a struggle lived in a foster home a van got a lot from donations and project understanding programs. But I never let that change who I was I still was always happy and grateful for life . Nobody ever knew that my family was going through hard times cause I wouldn’t let affect how I carried myself and treated people. I love my mom and dad would change them for anything we just had bad luck and personal problems
I started skate boarding and playing baseball and basketball. As I got older I fell in love with basketball didn’t have the best luck with it but I’ve learned a lot from it . But I never gave up and tried out for 7 Gleague teams then went to a training camp . Played against a lot of great players i remember playing full court 1 on 1 against Brandon Knight and Michael Carter every money for a month straight did a lot of camps with sports academy I remember playing yeah kacademy and NBPA met alot great people/coaches . I love helping people and giving back and see people work hard and feeling good about their success i wsnt to see everyone win cause life ain’t easy also because I know how it feels to have nothing . I love helping the next generation as much as I can .
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a tough road , getting taken advantage of .
Growing up poor, moving around a lot , the highschool team I was playing for me didn’t really treat me right .

How do you define success?
Success is having God in your life is being happy and being urself and a good person
Also being able to help others and achieve goals and be a good parent if you have kids.
