Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Vaught.
Hi Chloe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Before I created content with my social media reviews account, I was just a stay at home mom looking for a new hobby to fill my downtime with! I had always been curious about how people got into doing reviews for companies that gift them the product to try, so I finally took the plunge and did some research. I found a lovely community on Reddit that had plenty of people with experience, and they were sharing information and how to start. I officially started in August of 2025 and had fallen in love with it! Sharing my honest opinion and experience with the products was important to me and it felt so good to know that they were valued by the company and its readers.
I finally took the plunge and made my Instagram account @Honestlytested_ and started posting, and I’m so happy I did. At first I just started posting products I received PR platforms, but shortly after started getting emails/ DMs from companies reaching out for collaborations. I then started to do UGC content for some brands and fell in love with making that style of video as well. I now have almost 3k followers on Instagram and new relationships with brands and other creators that I am so grateful for!
When i started, I told myself that honesty and transparency are so important in reviewing and I still believe that to this day. That’s why I do not accept payment from companies to do the review directly, as I believe that the gifted product(s) and the trust from a brand is payment enough!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say it has been a smooth road! I do sometimes struggle with comparing myself with other creators and overthinking, but with the support of my family, friends, and other members of the community it has helped me and my platform thrive the way it has!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Other than doing my reviews and UGC content, I am a stay at home mom! I love and am so grateful to be home full time to watch my children grow and make so many memories that I can with them. They are my whole world and they make me so proud in all that they accomplish and do!
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been a bubbly and adventurous person! I loved to make others happy and was always quick to jump into a new task and new hobbies to be able to connect with people and learn something new. As a teen I loved to go on road trips with my dad, whether it was for fun or going to a bull riding event, I was always ready to go on a new adventure. I did numerous activities such as BMX racing, theatre, or volunteering wherever I was needed. As an adult I modeled and also walked in fashion shows which I feel has given me influence for my content creation journey. I just loved doing all sorts of things to learn and have the memories of doing something new.
