Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Bisbee.
Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Around the age of 18, the world I had known—and, in many ways, my identity—changed. After four years in a long-term relationship that ultimately wasn’t good for my well-being, I found myself having to figure out who I was outside of something that had been such a significant part of my life.
Instead of allowing what I had experienced to change me, define me, or determine the direction of my life, I decided to take the anger and frustration I felt and channel it into something positive. That led me to fitness. Over time, fitness became more than just a way for me to take care of myself—it became a way for me to help other women.
I wanted to create something that could help women gain knowledge and confidence, but also help them find themselves again, or grow into the person they’re becoming. That idea eventually became a huge part of why I created FOUNDATION.
My entire journey has really been about discovering who Jasmine is on her own—what she believes in, what she is capable of, how strong she is, and how resilient she can be.
The last year has shown me just how much I am capable of. I’m still figuring things out and still growing, but I’ve learned that one chapter of my life doesn’t get to define the rest of my story.
I’m Jasmine Bisbee—a girl who went through something that changed her, but chose to use it as fuel to build something she loves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to rebuilding not only myself but my life has fundamentally been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There were times when I felt like I had completely lost myself and didn’t know who I was or what I was doing. Eventually, I realized I needed to start channeling that energy back into myself.
I learned that I was allowed to be selfish in the sense of prioritizing myself. I could say no. I was allowed to step away from things and people that weren’t healthy for me, and I was allowed to take the time I needed to heal. A huge part of that process was cutting off toxic relationships, including friendships, and learning who I was outside of those relationships.
Focusing on my mental health and therapy was also a major part of rebuilding my life. For me, the mental and physical aspects of healing became deeply connected. I started to realize how much the things we experience mentally can affect us physically, and fitness became one of the ways I learned to reconnect with myself.
When I first started working out, I never expected the gym to teach me so much about myself. It became a place where I was forced to confront the parts of myself that felt weak—not physically, but mentally. It taught me patience, discipline, resilience, and that I was capable of doing hard things even when I didn’t feel strong.
The gym didn’t fix everything for me, but it became one of the places where I learned how to rebuild.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
FOUNDATION is a free 12-week fitness program that I created for women who genuinely don’t know where to start with their fitness journey. When I first started creating fitness content, I began sharing more about how I trained, the exercises I used, and the process that helped me achieve the results I have today. I was surprised by how much conversation that created. Women would reach out with questions about where to start, how to structure their workouts, and how to feel more confident in the gym.
Eventually, I asked my community if they would want me to create an actual program for them, and the response was overwhelmingly yes. That’s how FOUNDATION began.
What makes FOUNDATION especially meaningful to me is that it isn’t just about workouts. The community aspect is a huge part of it. When I was rebuilding myself, having a community and a space where I felt supported played such an important role in my own journey. I wanted to create that same feeling for other women—a place where they can ask questions without feeling judged, learn without feeling like they should already know everything, and feel supported while they’re figuring out their own fitness journey.
The goal of FOUNDATION is to give women the tools and knowledge to become confident in the gym while also helping them build a stronger relationship with themselves. I want someone who joins FOUNDATION to feel like they finally have a starting point, but also to leave with the confidence and knowledge to continue their journey beyond the 12 weeks.
I’m most proud that FOUNDATION came directly from the community I’ve built. I didn’t create it because I thought there needed to be another fitness program—I created it because women were asking me for one.
How do you think about luck?
I think luck has played a role in my life, but I don’t necessarily believe that where I am today is simply because I got lucky. I’ve had moments where the right opportunity or the right person came into my life at exactly the right time, and I’m grateful for those moments. At the same time, I’ve learned that an opportunity doesn’t mean much if you’re not willing to put the work behind it.
A lot of what may look like “luck” from the outside has come after a lot of consistency, trial and error, and simply continuing to show up. Even creating fitness content started with me just sharing something I genuinely loved, without knowing where it would lead. That eventually opened doors to a community, brand opportunities, and ultimately the creation of FOUNDATION.
I also think some of the difficult experiences in my life ended up creating opportunities for growth that I never would have chosen for myself. Losing parts of my old life forced me to build a new one, and I’m grateful for the person that process has helped me become.
So I would say I’ve been lucky enough to have certain doors open for me, but I’ve learned that it’s up to me to walk through them and build something once I’m there.
