Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Sinitsa.
Hi Diana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always found photography to be fasicnating and I knew if I had the chance to try it I would love it. After years of having this desire in the back of my mind, my husband encouraged me to take the leap and purchase my first camera. Ever since I picked it up my life has been a whirlwind. Somehow I am at nearly 6 years in the wedding industry and I love it more and more with each wedding season.
In the last two years is when I feel like I truly found my voice and style. I love intentional and true photography, I will guide my clients when needed, but in true real life moments I step back letting them live it to the fullest and capture the feelings as they happen.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There is always the struggle of wanting to perfect your style and look. I constantly thrive to be better than I am and deliver exceptional work to my clients. But this desire to be perfect sometimes stops me from sharing incredible work because I spend too much time trying to create the “perfect” post.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In the recent years I have been getting recognition for my film work as a photographer. I love how soft and dreamy film is. There is a quality to film that cannot be replicated, something in it that forces you to be extra present and extra intentional. It takes patience and teaches me as an artist to accept imperfections. I love where I am within my work at the moment. I feel very confident in my skills as a photographer and before my clients. I look forward to wedding days and high pressure events instead of stressing out or being uncertain. It is such an honor to know that my clients trust me to be the artist in their wedding day and to capture things in a way I think would be best.
How do you think about happiness?
Hearing back from a client and knowing that what I delivered to them is beyond their expectations. During the wedding day as I shoot I constantly have a thought in the back of my head that stays with me no matter what “these photos will be cherished for generations, my couples future kids and families for years will smile at these.” Knowing that the images I am photographing are not just for a fast trend to share on instagram, but are meaningful and deep brings me so much happiness.
