Today we’d like to introduce you to Anumeha Gupta.
Hi Anumeha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For many years, I was doing what so many women do—taking care of my family, building a career, and trying to hold everything together while carrying emotions I had never really learned how to process. After moving from India to the U.S., raising my children, and eventually going through divorce, I found myself confronting suppressed anger, anxiety, guilt, low self-esteem, and an unshakable feeling of being stuck in repeated patterns in my finances and my relationships.
I realized I could not simply think my way out of these patterns; I needed to understand what was happening beneath the surface. I began seeking help from different alternative healing practitioners in US and India, and through that process, I discovered layers of childhood trauma, ancestral trauma, past-life trauma, vows, obligations, and subconscious beliefs that I felt were influencing my relationships and keeping me caught in repeated emotional patterns.
As I experienced the profound difference this work made in my own life, I began studying and certifying in the modalities that had brought me the most clarity and peace, including Ayurveda, yoga, breathwork, spirituality, and ThetaHealing®. What began as my own search for healing gradually became my life’s work.
In 2021, I opened my practice in Santa Clara with a deep desire to bring the same sense of peace, clarity, and possibility to other seekers who, like me, suspected subconscious sabotage.
Today, I have a thriving practice and am deeply grateful for the wonderful feedback I receive from my clients. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching people begin to unblock themselves, reconnect with who they truly are, and discover a greater sense of peace, joy, love, and purpose. I feel incredibly fortunate that the journey I once began for myself has evolved into meaningful work that allows me to support others on their own journeys.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, especially because I chose to build a practice around unconventional work. One of my biggest challenges was switching from being a homemaker for 9 years to setting up my own energy healing practice. I am currently one of the few ThetaHealing® practitioners in the Bay Area with a physical office, and creating that space took a leap of faith. I had to learn to trust myself, my intuition, and, above all, the Universe. My faith in Source has carried me through many of the challenges along the way.
I remember the day I signed a one-year lease for my office. I was scared and unsure whether I would be able to cover the rent. The building was primarily occupied by therapists, and I wondered who would seek out spiritual healing when there were so many traditional options available. As it turned out, that fear was misplaced. People are much more open to different approaches than I had imagined. Today, many therapists and doctors actually come to me for healing sessions. It has reinforced my belief that different approaches to healing don’t have to compete with one another—we can complement each other, and we all need each other.
Another challenge has been learning how to communicate what I do in a way that feels authentic while also making it accessible to people who may be completely new to this kind of work. Spiritual and energy healing can sometimes sound “woo-woo” from the outside, but once people experience a session, they are often surprised by how logical and relatable the process feels. Once they understand it, it makes sense to them.
On a personal level, my own healing has been an important part of the journey as well. I have had to continually examine my own patterns, fears, and beliefs rather than asking my clients to do work that I am not willing to do myself. There have been periods of doubt, uncertainty, and moments when I questioned whether I was on the right path.
But those challenges have ultimately strengthened me. They have taught me resilience, compassion, and, most importantly, the importance of trusting the process. Experiences that once felt like obstacles have become some of the very experiences that allow me to understand my clients, meet them with compassion, and connect with them on a deeper level.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Ayuwise is a holistic spiritual healing practice founded by me, Anumeha Gupta, in the Bay Area. I help men and women over 40 to release the emotional weight of the past and create more room for peace, clarity, freedom, meaningful relationships, and purpose.
I often work with people who have already tried therapy, meditation, yoga, or other forms of personal growth but still feel that something deeper is keeping them from moving forward.
The issues my clients struggle with often include anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, feeling stuck, loss of self-esteem, negative thought patterns, and repeated patterns in their finances or relationships.
My approach brings together Ayurveda, yogic philosophy, breathwork, nervous system relaxation, emotional healing, and ThetaHealing®.
What sets my work apart is that, through energy healing and my intuitive abilities, I am able to help my clients uncover deep energetic blocks they may not have been aware of. We explore emotional trauma, subconscious beliefs, vows, obligations, past-life trauma, ancestral patterns, and other emotional wounds that may be keeping them stuck. At the same time, I place a strong emphasis on nervous system relaxation because I believe true wellness requires the nervous system to feel safe.
What I am most proud of is that Ayuwise grew out of my own journey. I left a corporate career, moved from India to the U.S., experienced my own struggles with anxiety, motherhood, suppressed emotions, and divorce, and ultimately found my purpose in helping others. I don’t position myself as someone who has “figured it all out.” I believe healing is an ongoing journey, and I continue to do my own work while holding space for others.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I would love for readers to remember that they have a unique path and unique gifts to share with others.
I believe that the path to finding your purpose often begins with healing your past. As we release the things we have been carrying and become more whole within ourselves, we create space to hear our own inner voice more clearly.
When we find that sense of purpose and begin living in alignment with it, something changes within us. There is a sense of meaning, fulfillment, and a deep inner joy—it feels as though your soul is singing.
Start by simply asking the Universe for guidance towards finding your purpose. Then, pay attention to what unfolds.
Your next step may come through a conversation with a friend, a message from a stranger, something you see on social media, or an unexpected moment that catches your attention. And if you miss the message the first time, trust that it may find its way back to you.
The guidance is often already around you. You just have to slow down, become aware, and notice the signs.
