Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2018, I embarked on a journey from my hometown of Denver, Colorado, to San Diego, California, where I realized my dream of opening Knots in Knead. Initially focusing on massage therapy, my dedication to providing exceptional wellness experiences quickly earned a loyal clientele base. However, I recognized the growing demand for holistic skincare services and sought to expand my offerings. I enrolled in esthetic school and proudly introduced facials and waxing services to my menu. As Knots in Knead flourished over the years, my vision evolved, leading me to expand my team. I handpicked talented therapists and estheticians who shared my passion for holistic wellness. Together we created a nurturing environment where clients could embark on transformative journeys of self care and rejuvenation. Now, years later, Knots in Knead stands as a beacon of wellness in the San Diego community, offering a wide range of self care services.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say it hasn’t necessarily been smooth, there have been many bumps along the way but I think that always comes with starting and owning a business. With the quick rapid growth that occurred I wasn’t prepared for the back end of things but over came them and in the end it has made the business better and taught me things along the way that i can use when we decide to expand and keep growing.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Some people might not know that I am originally from Denver Colorado and worked at a Russian Turkish bath house before i sought my journey of massage therapy and skincare.
