Hi Breezy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After 30 years and 8 tattoo shops, I am hosting a tattoo convention and car show May 1-2, 2027 at the Madonna Expo Center. We are expecting close to 10,000 visitors throughout the weekend. The show consists of live tattooing and piercing, tons of vendors, food trucks, bands, performers, competitions and more. So far we have a few sponsors but of course I could use more! We want this to be epic, and an event we can look forward to year after year
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a first time event organizer, I have received a lot of push back for sponsorships and investors. Also being a female doesn’t help.
So every day I’m on the phone and computer interacting with our local businesses for sponsorship, as I am trying to keep the show 90% local

I am a 30 year master tattooist and I own Velvet Kitty Tattoo Parlour in Atascadero. Our 8 female staffed shop, we don’t have room for male tattoo artists ego and attitude! And stop hitting on your clients!!!
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Velvet Kitty Tattoo Parlour chain across the country and Stay Gold Tattoo Convention becomes a yearly event!
