Life & Work with Aaron Bobertz of Central Coast (California)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Bobertz.

Hi Aaron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started making music in the summer of 2025 with my best friend “prettilitt” who I still make music with today. Originally, I took most of my inspiration from Tyler, the Creator, but over time I started listening to underground rap. prettilitt is the main reason why I make the type of music I make today. Even though I got him into making music, he introduced me jnto the underground rap scene. Now, most of my inspiration comes from slayr and rexv2. Outside of music, I make cover art for myself as well as other artists. I recently started producing beats, and now I make clothing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, I released a song back in 2025 that took off called “MoneySpread”. I hated that song so much but it got tens of thousands of streams. Over time, it got to the point where that’s the only reason people noticed me so I took the song down and lost all of my progress. Everyday at school I go through people hating my music, but I don’t care because I love what I do and that’s what matters.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’d say that I’m just like any other artist but I put in more work that nobody really knows about. A lot of my creative work happens behind the scenes and never gets released to the public. I’d say there’s over 2,000 unreleased songs in the vault and maybe 30 scrapped albums. This isn’t including songs I’ve released and later taken down.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I have a lot of connections to big artists. I can’t say who but there’s a lot of things I’ve done for huge artists but nobody knows it was partially my work.
