Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started in 2021 when I received my very first tooth gem. I instantly fell in love with the new sparkle in my smile, but not long after, it fell off. I had it replaced with another one, but shortly after that, that one fell off too. I found myself curious about exactly why this was happening, so I decided to learn the craft myself.
I started doing tooth gems on myself as well as my friends. We would get so many compliments, and more and more people began to ask if I could do theirs. What started as a personal exploration of trends and styles soon turned into a genuine passion for helping others elevate their smiles.
By 2022, I became certified in tooth gems, and soon after, cosmetic teeth whitening. That is when Cute Tooth was officially born!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At first, there were definitely some bumps in the road. My certification course taught me the basic tooth gem application process, but it couldn’t seem to explain the actual science behind it.
I struggled a lot in the beginning, especially with retention. Some clients would have their gems for months, while others would lose theirs after just a week. Since the certification course couldn’t solve these problems, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I reached out to real dental professionals, and that is when I learned there is so much more to tooth gems than just the application itself. I educated myself on basic dental anatomy, oral health, dental products, and actual dentistry techniques. I took all of this advanced knowledge and combined it with my creativity to build the beautiful, long-lasting sets that my clients absolutely love.

The characteristic most important to my success is maintaining a resilient, positive mindset while actively connecting with my community. Keeping a positive attitude helps me stay completely locked in on my business goals, even when navigating the typical challenges of entrepreneurship. Alongside that mindset, putting myself out there has been absolutely essential. Networking through local pop-ups and events allows me to build real, face-to-face relationships with the San Diego community, which fuels my growth and keeps my business deeply connected to the people I serve.
